Alzarri Joseph was born in Antigua on 20 November 1996. Like many other renowned cricketers, his cricketing journey began at a young age. Cricket fans witnessed his true potential during the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he emerged as the leading wicket-taker for the West Indies.
His impressive performance throughout the tournament helped the team reach the finale, where they defeated India by five wickets and lifted the trophy. After the Under-19 World Cup, Joseph was selected for the Test series against India in 2016.
In his first international match, he dismissed the cricket legend Virat Kohli. What a memorable debut it was for this young player. However, he suffered some injuries during his early career, due to which he missed some important ICC events like the 2019 World Cup.
