No one can forget the contributions of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh in several ICC tournaments for his country. Recently he along with the former West Indian batter Chris Gayle and Olympic gold-medalist Usain Bolt has been appointed as the brand ambassadors of the T20 World Cup 2024.
Yuvraj Singh As Brand Ambassador Of T20 World Cup
We all remember the over of England’s Stuart Broad in the inaugural T20 World Cup 2007 in which Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes. He became the first cricketer to do so in the T20I. His contributions with both bat and ball helped the Indian team in winning the tournament.
In a statement, Yuvraj expressed his excitement for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. He said that some of the fondest memories in his life have come from this ICC event. Praising the hosting nations, he expressed his excitement for the growth of cricket in the USA and the unique vibe in venues of the West Indies.
Claire Furlong, the ICC General Manager of Marketing and Communications, commented that the name Yuvraj Singh is synonymous with the T20 World Cup, and it’s a great honor to have him as the ambassador of this event.
