T20 Debut: Galle Gladiators vs Dambulla Vikings on 9 December 2022 in Lanka Premier League. Playing for the Vikings, Madushanka dismissed one batsman in 2 overs.

Dilshan Madushanka is a Sri Lankan cricketer born in Hambantota on 18 September 2000. Being the son of a poor fisherman, he faced many difficulties in his cricketing journey. But nothing could stop him from achieving his dream of representing his nation in international matches. The year 2021-22 was a major breakthrough in his career when he took 17 wickets in 5 matches against the Australian team.
Due to the consistent performance of this young left-arm medium-fast bowler, IPL teams were seen battling for him. His base price was INR 50 Lac; however, the competition between teams brought INR 4.6 Crores in his pocket. Selectors of Mumbai Indians placed the highest bid and included him in their squad. The former star bowler of the MI, Lasith Malinga was also a Sri Lankan and now he is the team’s bowling coach. He knows Dilshan very well and hopefully under his guidance this young player will strengthen the bowling lineup of the team.
