Punjab Kings didn’t go all out in the IPL 2024 Auction, but they managed to grab some good players for their team. The PBKS management had a clear plan on who they wanted to pick. But, they felt the middle order of the team needed improvement, and they think players like Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra can help with that.
Adding Harshal Patel and Chris Woakes to the squad was a smart move. Their partnership with Kagiso Rabada is expected to make the team much stronger compared to others. Harshal Patel, especially, will be taking on the role of a specialist in the death overs, which was something Punjab Kings lacked in the previous year. It looks like they’ve made some strategic choices to boost their performance.
