The Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium also known as the Mohali Stadium is one of the best cricket venues in India. It was established 31 years ago and is currently owned and operated by the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA). Domestic Cricket

In domestic tournaments like Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy, the Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium has been the home ground of Punjab Cricket Team since 1993. From 2008 when the inaugural season of Indian Premier League was played, this stadium got another tenant, Punjab Kings. In the very first season of IPL, a high total of 240 runs was made which is yet to be broken in this ground.

History

The Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium was established in 1993 and inaugurated the same year with an ODI match between India and West Indies. So far the stadium has hosted many matches and has been selected for ICC events multiple times. 

It has hosted 4 ODI World Cup matches (one in 1996 and three in 2011) including the historic semi-final match between India and Pakistan during the 2011 ODI World Cup where team India won the match and entered the final.

The first T20I match on this pitch was played in 2009 between India and Sri Lanka. This stadium was also one of the selected venues during the 2016 ICC World T20 where it hosted 3 matches.
