PSL is the abbreviation of Pakistan Super League. It is also known as HBL Pakistan Super League, established in September 2015 by Pakistan Cricket Board. Wasim Akram and Rameez Raja who were the captains of the Pakistan National Team to hold the first captaincy of PSL to promote this league for three years. After the attempts and planning of several years, this league officially announced on 4 February, 2016 in the United Arab Emirates. The Pakistan Super League official logo was launched in a ceremony in Lahore on September 20, 2015.
