For the first time in the history of the Men’s T20 World Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is going to host this tournament in the United States of America. Three venues have been selected for this event: Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, Dallas, Eisenhower Park, New York, and Central Broward Park, Lauderhill, Florida.
The tournament will start on June 1 and in this 29-day-long event, a total of 55 matches will be played, out of which 16 will be played across the three USA venues. Here in this article, we will be focusing on the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas.
Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium Overview
Grand Prairie Stadium is a cricket ground located in Dallas, Texas. Until 2019, it has been hosting sports like baseball and soccer and was the home of the Texas AirHogs Baseball team and the USL League Two Soccer team.
But recently when the American Cricket Enterprise acquired this stadium, they started redevelopments to transform it into a cricket ground at the cost of $20 million. Here you can see the overview of the stadium:

T20 World Cup 2024
As we know the T20 World Cup 2024 will begin on June 1 and the final will be played on June 29. A total of 20 teams will participate in the tournament including the USA and West Indies who got the free tickets for being the hosting countries. Matches Scheduled In Dallas
Just recently the Grand Prairie Stadium was declared to be a cricket ground and now it is going to host matches of one of the biggest cricket tournaments in the world, it’s really a big achievement.
In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium will host four matches including the very first game of the tournament between USA and Canada. Here are the 4 matches:

- June 4: Netherlands vs Nepal at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium, Dallas
