In the IPL 2024 auction held in Dubai, teams invested their trust and money in many young talented cricketers. The right-handed batter, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, was one of them whom the Kolkata Knight Riders bought for his base price of INR 20 Lakh.
The most recent time we saw him play in any major leagues was against the Saurashtra team on 1 December in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Representing the Mumbai team, he opened the innings but couldn’t do much with the bat and returned to the pavilion with 8 runs.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi was born in Delhi on 5 June 2005 and currently, he is 18 years old. From his childhood, he was passionate about cricket and received a lot of support from his parents, who also have a background in sports. To pursue his cricketing career, he moved to Mumbai, where his skills were honed under the guidance of former cricketer Abhishek Nayar, who was his coach. His aggressive opening batting style didn’t go unnoticed, he got selected in the Indian Under-19 cricket team.
His impressive performance for the India Under-19 team caught the attention of domestic teams. Angkrish made his debut in domestic cricket on 16 October 2023, playing for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Haryana. He scored 26 runs in 24 balls and helped his team win the game by 8 wickets.
A month later, on 23 November 2023, he made his debut in List-A cricket in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. It was a low-scoring match in which Angkrish was the leading scorer with 30 runs. His inning helped Mumbai in defeating the Sikkim by 7 wickets.
